Ventech Backs Treon Through Its €16 million+ Journey: From Pre-Revenue Seed to Industrial AI Leader

The pan-European VC firm Ventech has supported Treon across every funding milestone since 2019, most recently co-leading a combined €12 million Series A extension alongside ACME Capital.
HELSINKI, PARIS, April 2026 - Ventech, the European venture capital firm, today highlights its continued commitment to Treon, the Tampere-based industrial AI company, following the completion of an over €12 million Series A extension. The extension was completed in two tranches: a first close of €5.5 million led by Ventech, followed by a second close of €6.8 million led by ACME Capital - both at consecutively higher valuations, reflecting Treon's strong commercial momentum and the growing strategic importance of its platform.
A Conviction Built Over Seven Years
Ventech has been Treon's most consistent institutional backer since the company's pre-product, pre-revenue seed round in 2019.
"We invested in Treon for its founding team’s unparalleled expertise, proven track record, and their unique horizontal platform vision," said Tero Mennander, General Partner at Ventech. "Seven years later, Treon is serving over 200 enterprise customers across manufacturing and logistics, expanding into the US market, and building toward fully autonomous industrial operations. This is exactly the kind of long-term, deep-tech conviction that Ventech was attracted by."
Ventech then doubled down as the sole VC investor in Treon's 2023 Series A, committing €3.3 million at a time when the company had proven its model but had yet to reach its current scale. Then continued to lead its first tranche of Series A Extension round of €5.5 million, and later brought ACME to the table to lead the second tranche, with Ventech as follow-up investor. The latest extension brings Treon's total capital raised to over €16 million, a journey Ventech has supported from day one.
The decision to re-invest multiple times reflected both Treon's consistent revenue growth and Ventech's view that the industrial AI market was approaching an inflection point.
Building the Bridge to Silicon Valley
As Treon prepared to scale internationally, Ventech played an instrumental role in bringing ACME Capital — the Silicon Valley VC specialized in deep tech investing — into the Treon story.
ACME Capital partner Christian Tang-Jespersen joins the Treon board as part of the investment, alongside Ventech's existing board representation.
From Predictive to Autonomous: The Next Chapter
Treon's platform has evolvedsignificantly since Ventech's initial investment. What began as wirelessvibration and temperature sensors feeding cloud-based predictive maintenanceanalytics has grown into an AI-native Maintenance Orchestration layer — a systemthat does not simply flag equipment anomalies, but increasingly acts on themautonomously.
The combined €12 millionextension will fund international expansion, deeper product development aroundagentic AI capabilities, and the build-out of Treon's Maintenance Orchestrationlayer. Treon will showcase its latest innovations — including an AI-nativesmart motor and an Agentic AI Technician Companion — at Hannover Messe, April20–24, 2026.
"The shiftfrom predictive maintenance to autonomous operations is the defining industrialsoftware opportunity of this decade," said Tero Mennander. "Treon is not just participating inthat shift — they are building the orchestration infrastructure that willdefine it. We couldn't be more proud of what Joni, and the entire team havebuilt."
