CREDOXYS Secures Series A to Scale High-Performance Materials for Organic Electronics

CREDOXYS GmbH, a Dresden-based deeptech startup developing high-performance materials for organic electronics, has successfully closed its Series A financing round. The round was co-led by Ventech and eCAPITAL. With the new capital, CREDOXYS will further scale in the OLED materials market, expand its market presence in Asia and tap into additional application fields in organic electronics.
Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) have become the display technology of choice thanks to exceptional contrast, high colour purity and extremely thin form factors. The next generation of displays, however, will need to deliver even more: better image quality and higher brightness at lower power consumption.
This is exactly where CREDOXYS comes in - with proprietary, IP-protected material platforms for dopants that enable significant performance gains in OLED displays:
- Reduced crosstalk between pixels – for higher contrast and greater colour purity
- More efficient and more stable blue OLEDs – one of the display industry's most critical bottlenecks
- Higher optical transparency – the basis for new applications in transparent displays
- Greater efficiency in multistack architectures – particularly in high-performance displays and other demanding applications
OLED displays are only one of many application areas, as the technology has been designed as versatile material platforms. The company's powerful p- and n-dopants also increase efficiency and performance in organic and perovskite photovoltaics for building-integrated applications, in photodetectors, sensors, transparent and automotive displays, as well as in other organic semiconductor devices.
"We are delighted to welcome eCAPITAL as a reliable and highly experienced partner, and equally pleased that Ventech has significantly expanded its commitment to CREDOXYS. Together, these two renowned deeptech investors and their outstanding international technology networks will support us in taking on new challenges and translating CREDOXYS' technologies into future applications." Dr. Sascha Dorok, Founder & Managing Director CREDOXYS
"CREDOXYS' material platforms address a key bottleneck in next-generation OLED technologies, are protected by strong IP rights and have already been validated by customers. For us, that adds up to real potential for CREDOXYS to become a leading European supplier to the Asia-centric display industry." Dr Paul-Josef Patt, Founding Partner eCAPITAL
