James Jin is a Managing Partner of Ventech China, together with Eric Huet, they lead Ventech China invest in Internet, consumer finance, fin-tech and big data.
Before joining Ventech China, in 2005, James co-founded the CMHJ Partners, anchored by China Merchant Group, focusing on investing in high-tech start-ups. Prior to that, James was the general manager of a Silicon Valley based start-up, which later on was acquired by a Private Equity Fund.
Before going to the US, he was responsible for marketing & sales of five operating departments at Eastman Kodak China.
James is the guest professor of Nanyang Technological University. He holds an M.B.A. degree of the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, as well as the Master of Science degree in Computer Science, California State University.
