Kyrion CM4101 encoder was selected by the Eurovision for MPEG-4 10-bit video transmissions by satellite.

This selection – the result of extensive tests conducted by the European Broadcasting Union technical department since 2010 – crowns the maturity of MPEG-4 4:2:2 10-bit compression just two years after its market introduction by ATEME in 2009.

The Eurovision network delivers news, sports, and events to EBU Members and other media organizations worldwide across the footprint of its satellite leases and fibre network.
